We be bookin’ Tis the damn season!

An adult book fair with local authors! Sign me up! I spent part of my afternoon today at the We Be Bookin bookshop in Monroe,WA. It was an adorable little indie bookshop with incredibly friendly staff. And I will definitely go back.

I met a ton of wonderful authors and went over my budget, with absolutely 0 regrets!

The header is my haul minis the one book I bought for my child. Fingers crossed he likes it. So far I’m 1 for 25. The only book he liked that i recommended was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. i cannnot wait to dive into these books and if you’re in Monroe, WA check them out!

Thoughts on 1984 by George Orwell.

I’m not entirely sure how to review this book. It did take me a a while to finish it, books from the midcentury era often do. The words tend to have a different flow that’s not that easy to vibe with.
