An adult book fair with local authors! Sign me up! I spent part of my afternoon today at the We Be Bookin bookshop in Monroe,WA. It was an adorable little indie bookshop with incredibly friendly staff. And I will definitely go back. I met a ton of wonderful authors and went over my budget, with absolutely 0 regrets! I am a fiction reader. 95% of the books on my TBR are various subgenres of fiction. Reading is my escape and I love nothing more than falling into something light an fluffy or something twisted and horrific (but fake). I decided to branch out, using November to dive into Non Fiction works. I have a list of books acquired from the library. A few memoirs, and a book on vintage fashion. I’m not entirely sure how to review this book. It did take me a a while to finish it, books from the midcentury era often do. The words tend to have a different flow that’s not that easy to vibe with. I’m also not entirely sure I liked it, but still feel it’s an important read. Definitely a book one needs to read and dissect in an academic setting to really drive home the plot and subject. One thing that does stick out to me is the induction into The Brotherhood. Intern
